Triangles

“Life is not a perfect circle, but more a triangle… a mix of varying lines and sharp corners, leading from A to B to C… and eventually back to me.”

Tripping the boundaries of time,
reverting to peace-filled hours among
infinite fields of yellow dandelion sails
anchored in waves of green under
noontide ocean of cloudless blue.
Gone now those childhood days when
lilac scent promised endless summer…
existing now only in mind’s eye lie the
simple sweet songs of my youth.

  5. ah,Ginny you have captured the memories well...the very reason I enjoy spending so much time with Mason. Through a child's eye the "lilac scent promised endless summer" lives on.

  8. Nicely nostalgic, Ginny. The lack of stanza-breaks actually helps keep a snug, vignette feel. Breaks may stilt the narrative (I'd almost never say that!)
