Harbingers

















Evening calls to silhouette sentries,
rainslick roads swift-swallow sound;
lifeblood weeps to parch-dry ground,
while ravens silent-watch from trees.

The banshee wails on late-night roam;
then piece-by-piece, they carry me home.
