Howling at the Moon

Tiptoeing carefully,
trying to stay low key…
yet not everything
  is written black and white.
Find your music—
  dance without fear:
life’s too short not
   to make some noise!

For my brother, my best friend, who helped me find my voice; who taught me to "howl at the moon."

  1. nice inspiration in this ginny...

have you ever been to 'howl at the moon'?
    its a dueling piano bar....

and aww on it being your brother.

    1. "Foster" brother actually, Brian. Lost parents early, blessed with family at 16 that accepted me as theirs. Blessed with 1 "brother," 4 "sisters"-- closer than family, also dearest friends!

  2. Witty and sharp; quite enjoyable...

  3. enjoyed this! Well thought out!

  4. I love the way you've woven the image into words.

  5. Wonderful poem....the louder the better....(except for Sunday mornings!)

  6. Life is too short not to make some noise is a policy I can get behind! Great job!

  7. I say make lots of noise and enjoy the dance..nice brother to help you howl at the carefree..

Thank you for reading my poetry and sharing your thoughts.
