ha what a cool acrostic...thanks for the tag, it made me do a double take...love the view in this you make it easy to see....love me some mountains as well...and small towns you meander down to...
ReplyDeleteEvocative, moving, well done... As for the acrostic, I'm a New Englander too.
ReplyDeleteI love New England and would like to go back for a longer visit.

ReplyDeleteGinny,
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderfully flowing verse you create within the form. Your scenes are very evocative of my own locale in eastern New York. I enjoyed this a great deal--Very well done!
Oh to be in New England in July. What sweetness that would be. Cool on so many levels. You capture it well here. For those of us in Texas, even if we've visited there, it holds a mystique found in those forbidden novels of our youth - Peyton Place, John O'Hara, Fitzgerald...it housed all the finest in the world and when I got to Newport, I knew it was true!
ReplyDeleteGreat acrostic. I know that New England. I see it outside my window and it looks just like that. Lovely, Ginny.
ReplyDeletesultry summer. Yes, I have actually come to love this about the south. (just wish I had a fantastic porch!) Beautiful and serene and very ... peaceful. This is what home should be.
ReplyDeleteGinny, this is beautiful . Love it !
ReplyDeleteI've never been up there, but hope to go one of these days. Beutiful write!
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever acrostic poem! Very few of those that can make the bar.
