It’s hard leave the comfort of one’s skin
at any age, to take on a new role—
to step outside ourselves to start again
to reassess our lives, to set new goals.
It’s difficult to break from all we know,
to jump off from that ledge into the deep
but yet I hear a calling in my soul
and trust that I will land upon my feet.
